The Joys of Motherhood

When your children are small you long for the days that your little ones will grow and be a little more independent. You know wipe ther own hind ends, but as your children start to grow and get involved in things such as vollyball, cheerleading, and church Bball you SO become the taxi service. The girls have started Vollyball and unfortunately they are on diffrent teams. This year Ashly is going up an age bracket, Lindsay is staying in the same age bracket she was in last year which means that Todd will be her coach again, he swore that last year would be his last. Which mean that I am the Asstant Coach!!! (not happy about that) I love to go and watch but, when he is unable to make the games due to work that means that the Asst. steps in and does the job. You see where we are again. What does this mean to the taxi cab driver,(ME)that the Whaley Family will be spending twice as much time at the Rec Center for the next few months.

Will Spring Ever Get Here?

Today the rain is coming down at a pretty good pace. Day's like to day I would love to a good book and a blanket by the fire curled up on the couch. It is supposed to rain for the next few days. This weather here is so unpredictable one day its 70* and the next it will be 40* Where is spring? I know it is only February but Mother Nature keeps teasing me, the Daffodils are in bloom and the trees are starting to bud. Oh how I long for spring!!!

Beach Bound

We are taking the weekend and traveling to our favorite spot in the world. Holden Beach NC.(I am sure that it will not be long enough)This trip is largely to due with my husband being on Call for 2 weeks straight and then leaving for Baltimore Maryland for a few days. He wants to get away from the craziness of the world. We have a friend that has family that owns this little beach home on the inner coastal water way of NC right across the SC line. It's a great time and very relaxing. Fishing, Porch swinging,relaxing, and eating till we cant eat any more. I cant wait. Will post photos later

Tax Time

Tonight we are geeting our taxes done. Marty has been doing our taxes in her home for years. Our family would all pile in the car and drive to her home.(20 Min Drive) Every year the pickture is the same. We walk through her back door and it is like time has stood still. Her 75 year old husband sits in his recliner with remote in hand watching TV. This year the girls feel that they are old enough to stay home by themself. When I asked Lindsay why she did not want to go she said that she had seen every episode of Friends she could stand and this was the reason why she did not like the sitcom Friends. So I guess that they will stay at home this year. Unless we want to be mean parents and make them go and watch Friends.

Weekend with my Sisters

Two of my 5 sisters came to South Carolina to visit me, we had a great time catching up on lost time. Kimberly and her son Aidan came from Ohio and Jean and her Husband Brian came from Wyoming. What a wonderful time we had. It is amazing that as children you cant stand one another and then you grow up an miss each other when you are apart. Jean and Kim you are welcome to come to my home anytime you do not need an invitation

1st Day of Blogging

Well i figured that if my daughter can figure this computer blogging stuff out than certianly I can. At Christmas time a friend of mine (Michelle Thompson) invited me on to her blogg in her christmas card and had been checking out hers as well as others. I have been enjoying looking at the postings, and thought what a great idea to keep my family close. This means that i will have to bring out the camera a little more often.(alot more often) So here is my attemp at this... It was quite funny as i set-up my bloggspot accout it was no time, and Ashley come to the computer to help me. I had NO Clue, so thanks to Ashley this is my blogg page . Thanks Ashley for your help. I think that the lord gave them something in their brain that was not around to hand out when i stood in line in heaven.
