The Big Day Arrived

Days leading up to Christmas

We had a few days off from work before the big day, we went to a movie, ( The Chipmonks) Went to dinner at Olive Garden, and Lindsay had a friend over.

Young Women President

Well this Sunday I was Called as the Young Women's President I have known for over a week now, and lots of people have asked if I am enjoying my time with no calling I could only smile and and say yes. Yesterday the news was released. My mind is everywhere what am I to do first, I have Sunday things Wednesday night things and keeping all the girls informed. I have some anxiety but I know that the lord will walk me though. I am excited for the calling both my girls are in there.

Boy the world has changed - Released From RS Presidency by Text

I have to laugh November 22nd I was released from the Relief Society Presidency, not that that was not funny but the way I was released was. It was the weekend Todd and I went out of town for our 20th Wedding Anniversary, my cell phone went dead and the charger that i had brought with me had a short in it so was not able to recharge it. So when I got home Sunday evening I charged my phone, after it charged I checked to see if I had any messages. And what did I see? That the RS Presidency was released that morning. This will have to go into one of my talks in the future. Released for RS Presidency by TEXT As the release was due time, it leaves me kind of lost, but I am sure that something is on the horizons for me!

Basketball Champ

As many of you know Lindsay went out for the Basketball team and made it ( we are very proud) Tuesday was her first game, unfortunately they lost. I will take some better photos of lindsay and her team tonight as we have another game tonight.

The Tree is Up

The time has come when the strange tradition of putting a tree inside your home has returned and ours is up. Not only do we put up the 12 ft tree in our great room we have to put one in the frontroom by the window for all to see as they drive by. I heard this morning on the radio that there is 408 hrs till Christmas day... something to thinks about!!!

Thanksgiving Day 2009

The Whaley's Spent Thanksgiving with my friend Amanda's Family. Amanda's Mother is the best cook in the whole world, they have excepted us in to their family for about 3 season now. We deffently feel loved and have a lot to be thankful for.

What I am Thankful for.

I would not be right if I did not write down what I am thankful for.
1) The Gospel in my life.
2) My Wonderful Husband of 20 years
3) 2 Beautiful Daughters that have brought so much joy, happiness and headache in to my life.
4) My Family
5) Amanda( Friend)- Doesn't ever judge me, excepts me for who I am.
6) Momma Carol -Brought us in to her family as if we were her own.
7) Able to have a job. (in these tough times)
8) A warm place to lay my head each night.
9) Seat warmers in the car.
10) That Ashley wakes herself up for seminary at 5:00am

Where have i been?

I am embarrised to say that not much has been goin on in our lives and that is why i have not blogged lately plus the camera wont hold a charge so there is no photos to share.
About 2 Weeks ago Lindsay found out that she made the Middle school basketball team, she was so excited. First games is Dec 1st I am way excited, I love to cheer for basketball. I told Lindsay that I was not responsible for my actions when i cheer (yell), I will be her #1 fan.
Alot has happend this week, I was released for the RS Presidency at Church found out about it through a text message from the bishopric. (I had no cell coverage.) Todd and I went away for the weekend to celebate our 20th wedding aniversary (Nov. 25 1989) Wow how time flies, surly i cant be married for 20 years that is over 1/2 the time I have been on the earth... something to think about.

1st day of waking up at 5:00am to get things going for the day

1st day of Seminary (for Ashley)
1st day of realizing I am getting old (ok, may be not the first for that)

The girls didn't start school this year till September 1st so two weeks before school started we loaded up the truck and each girl took a friend and made a day of Carowinds. Good buy Summer Break, Hello Fall.

Week in Wyoming

The Whaley's boarded an air plane and went to Wyoming for a week. Spent time at Cheyenne Frontier Days, met my sister Kari and family there. next we were off to Casper to see the rest of the Family.

Where Have I Been?

It has been so long since I have blogged, I almost forgot how. The Whaley's have been on many adventures since my last post in June. School ended for the girls, Ashley went away to Girl's Camp, Lindsay unfortunately missed it by 4 days. She will be going next year. Look out youth leaders.

We has so much fun on our date night in downtown Greenville we extended it to Sunday afternoon plus Kids and their friends. We decided that Sunday Afternoon was a great time for a picnic in the park. We loaded up the Truck and away we went.

Saturday is a special day....

Todd does not help in the yard much, inside is his thing, but Saturday we woke up at 8:00 and went to go get mulch to put in the flower beds. Todd did his weekly mop job of the garage (the dogs sleep their) We worked out side till 2:00. Lindsay had a friend over and they gave the dog a bath and ran through the sprinkler it was about 89 degress. Ashley Missed out on the fun she had a babysitting job tht lasted all day.

May 29th Friday Night Date Night

The girls were both busy Lindsay was Baby sitting Ashley was comming home from the 8th grade Washington Trip so Todd and myself were alone. So we had a date night, went to Greenville about 30 min away and walked downtown. The City had the street blocked off, it was Jazz night they had live music. Downtown Greenvile is fun and exciting with quaint shops and a beautiful park and the suspension bridge that over looks some Falls

June 25th is Lindsays REAL Bithday but due to it being in the Summer it is hard to get everone there. So we had a Happy is not your Birthday Party she had a sleepover with a few girls some and also she invited a few of her guy friends came over for cake.

May 8th was the 8th grade Dance- Ashley went with some friends they had a great time. We had a small after party at the house. Wow how your kids grow up so fast.

Ashley B-lated Birthday

Ashley- My Eldest was born 14 yrs ago April 2nd 1995
The day was exciting and scary all in one, scary because she was my first and I did not know what to expect. Exciting because I was a mom to the most beautiful baby on the earth at that moment...... Funny Story about her Dad on that day. I sent Todd on to work that morning. My contractions came and I called the Dr he told me to come on in so I called Todd home form work and he came in the door and started straightening the house. I looked at him and said it was time to go to the hospital he said Now? and I said yes he flung around and hit his head on a shelf in the kitchen, and down to the floor he went( passed out ) what was I to do my contractions where comming pretty good and my husband out cold on the floor.... a few seconds later he jumped up and we went out the door.

Chorus Concert and Game

Last night we were very busy with the 6th grade and 8th grade chorus concert. The girls sounded beautiful. Lindsay also had a volleyball game. The concert was at 7 & the game was at 8. we ran from school to rec. center, we made it for all three.
